From the coastal regions of the equator in South America, we bring you premium Raw Sugar. This area of the equator receives abundant rain due to the Andes Mountains and 12 hours of daylight year-round.
For millennia, the western watersheds of the Andes Mountains have provided water and sediment to create highly fertile soils for abundant crops. With average temperatures between 77–82∞ Fahrenheit (25–28∞ C), the weather is perfect for sugar cane. Raw sugar is extracted from the first press of the sugar cane. Once the cane juices evaporate, what is left is the large-grain sugar crystals with a golden color and a subtle caramel molasses flavor.
Our raw sugar preserves all the natural goodness that comes from the molasses; it is not drained, refined, or turbinado—it retains all the nutrients endowed by nature.
