Did you know the most frequently asked question we receive is about whether our oats and wheat are truly glyphosate-free? We’re proud to share that our latest independent test results from Primoris Food Analysis are in — and they passed with flying colors.
Primoris distinguishes itself through highly specialized testing for pesticide residues and contaminants, providing reliable, science-based verification.
Schullo oats are organic and glyphosate-free.
But don’t just take our word for it — provenance matters.
Our full range of oats — steel-cut, oat bran, thick rolled, and fine rolled — is grown in Finland. The same is true of our organic whole wheat flour, unbleached white flour, and wheat bran.
All products made with our organic oats and wheat flour — including granolas, mueslis, and cookies — are manufactured entirely in our own facility using these premium, organic, glyphosate-free Finnish grains.
One of the key differences between Finnish agriculture and many North American, Australian, and other European farming practices is that glyphosate is banned in Finland.
All our oats and flours are:
- Certified organic under European Union standards
- Grown exclusively in Finland
- Verified glyphosate-free through independent laboratory testing
Unlike many wheat-growing regions — including North America and Australia — Finland prohibits the pre-harvest use of glyphosate on cereals intended for food. In practice, this standard also extends to feed grains, as it is a key quality requirement for most Finnish grain buyers.
We understand what our customers are looking for — and we share those values.
Our founder, Al Schullo, lived by a simple principle:
“If it’s not good for my children, it’s not good for the people.”
For three generations, we have remained true to that commitment — producing clean, minimally processed food made the old-fashioned way with honest ingredients.
