Banana Bread with Tahini & Honey
Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup Schullo Sesame Tahini
- 1/4 cup Schullo Eucalyptus Honey
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 cup milk (You can substitute with your preferred plant-based milk)
- 1 & 1/2 cups Schullo Organic Whole Wheat Flour
- 1/2 cup ground linseed
- 2 tablespoons Schullo Toasted Sesame Seeds
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 8×4-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the wet ingredients: mashed banana, honey, tahini, egg, vanilla, and milk, and mix until the mixture is almost smooth.
- In another large bowl, mix the dry ingredients: organic whole wheat flour, ground linseed, toasted sesame seeds, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Arrange banana slices on top of the batter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes or until a toothpick or knife inserted comes out almost clean or with just a few crumbs clinging to it.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes, then remove the bread and
transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serving suggestions:
- This bread is delicious toasted and spread with extra tahini or any nut butter of your choice.
- You can also drizzle it with a little of your favorite honey and a pinch of sea salt.
Tip: You can substitute honey with maple syrup, agave nectar, or raw sugar.
